Nigeria At 65: Plateau Gov Mutfwang Prays For Peace, Unity

Caleb Mutfwang, governor of Plateau State, has prayed for peace and unity as Nigeria celebrates 65 years of nationhood.

The governor described the independence anniversary as both a remarkable milestone and a solemn reflection on the journey of the country as a whole in a statement released on Tuesday.

He emphasized the need for renewed commitments to national transformation, peace, and unity, to improve the welfare and well-being of the population.

The founding fathers of the country, who were credited with laying the groundwork for Nigeria’s independence, were also honored in glowing tribute by Mutfwang.

Speaker Abass also urges Nigerians to “focus On The Bright Future.”

On this 65th Independence Day, he declared, “It is with pride and profound humility that I felicitate with patriotic Nigerians all over the world.”

“This milestone calls for a reflective look at how united, peaceful, and prosperous we are as a country are.” Despite our difficulties, we can confidently say that God Almighty is working in Nigeria and that it will undoubtedly one day become great.

He reiterated the importance of creating a Plateau of peace, security, and prosperity.

According to him, the Plateau State Government will continue to prioritize the advancement of unity across racial and ethnic divides, as well as the protection of lives and property, and infrastructure development.

He pledged to continue to run a fair, just, and inclusive society, making sure that everyone, regardless of political or religious affiliation, is supported.
