One of his famous bandmates, Nathan Sykes, and his fiance Charlotte Burke were among the guests at the stunning ceremony in North Yorkshire, where the Wanted singer’s wedding was held.
Recently, The Wanted Star Nathan Sykes tied the knot with his stunning fiancee at a grand historic venue, and he later revealed that there was only one bandmate present to witness their big day. On October 11, the musician, 35, wed HR manager Charlotte Burke at Birdsall’s St. Mary’s Church in the North Yorkshire countryside.
With only 61 of their closest and dearest guests, including Nathan’s bandmate Jay McGuinness, the couple decided to keep it relatively small. speaking with OK! Siva Kaneswaran and Max George were absent after the big day, Nathan explained, “We haven’t touched base recently, so I’m not sure they would have known the wedding date.” We haven’t had the opportunity to [catch up] because they were out in America at the time, but I’m confident we will.

He continued, “Our room had a lot of people we’re comfortable with, so it was really quiet and gave us a chance to unwind.”
Tom Parker, the band’s final member and top-seller, tragically passed away in March 2022 from complications brought on by brain cancer. He was 33 years old. Nathan explained that Tom and Charlotte, both 30, were unable to witness their engagement and that his thoughts on the day logically changed.
He said that “milestones like weddings always remind you of the people you’ve lost and the impact they had on your life.” We would have loved to share the day with [people on both sides] of the family, but we think how perfectly the day turned out was their way of celebrating with us.
Before saying “I Do” at the Grade II-listed Birdsall House, which dates back to the 16th century, Nathan and Charlotte dated for eight years. Charlotte wore a traditional Justin Alexander Mikado dress for the ceremony, followed by a glamorous ballgown-style gown for the evening.
Nathan described the occasion as “the most perfect weekend” and claimed Charlotte’s entrance was “the most beautiful” thing he’d ever witnessed.
He added that he had trouble keeping his emotions at a minimum while crafting his 15-minute wedding speech, and that he had to make adjustments during the pre-reception drinks.
He said, “I was so proud of it.” I was able to speak with a lot of people in the audience while trying to strike a balance between touching and humour.
The most important moment came right before the end, when I spoke directly to Charlotte. I suppose it’s sometimes simple to forget how important it is to each other.
They slept until 2 o’clock in the morning before going back to bed to relive the day, according to Charlotte, and wrapped up the night with a stunning fireworks display. We simply told one another about the day because the other wasn’t there.
