TV personality and matriarch of the UK’s biggest family has swapped Britain for France, taking her 10th holiday this year, after a previous one saw her slapped school fines
Mum of 22, Sue Radford, has jetted off on her 10th family holiday of the year and laughed about school fines. This comes only months after she was slapped with a hefty fine for taking some of her children out of school for a getaway.
Posting on social media about the latest trip, the 22 Kids And Counting star shared that her family had swapped Britain for France. She posted a pic of the airport runway, explaining that she had gone to France for “some interesting filming”.
In a follow-up post uploaded to her stories, she added: “Also couldn’t believe how busy the airport was with lots of children heading to see the real Santa, hope they don’t get a school fine.” She ended the words with a laughing emoji.

The reality TV star has taken 10 family holidays this year, including one to Florida in April. Following this trip, she was given a school fine, as she took her children out of school for the £52,000 trip that celebrated her 50th birthday.
She and her husband, Noel, were found guilty of failing to ensure regular school attendance for four of their children and were subsequently whacked with a £65 fine for each child, as well as £118 due in court costs. As such, the whole amount they had to pay was £378.
The pair, who made a name for themselves by creating Britain’s largest family and starring in a TV show about raising 22 children, previously told the Daily Mail that they were “feeling the pinch” when it came to money.
But, they added that they were happy to spend over £50,000 on the trip to Florida as they hoped it would be the trip of a lifetime. They returned to Florida for a summer holiday later that year.
Only three weeks after the family returned, some of the children were taken to Ireland for a 48-hour survival course. In September, they took a cruise around the Caribbean, and they have also been to Dubai this year.
Sue and Noel Radford have children ranging from ages 35 to five. Chris is the eldest, followed by Sophie, 31, Chloe, 29, Jack, 28, Daniel, 26, Luke, 24, Millie, 23, Katie, 22, James, 21, Ellie, 19, Aimee, 18, Josh, 17, Max, 16, Tillie, 14, Oscar, 13, Casper, 12, Haillie, nine, Phoebe, eight, Archie, seven, Bonnie, six, and Heidi, five. Another child, Alfie, was stillborn in 2014.
The couple live with 19 of their children in a 10 bedroom, former care home in Morecambe, Lancashire. The property also boats an outdoor bar and cinema, as well as a swimming pool.
