MTV star admits ‘one regret’ in tragic final posts before death at 33

When it was revealed that Kirk Medas, the show’s star, had passed away after spending several weeks in the hospital, fans of the raunchy Jersey Shore spin-off Floribama Shore were heartbroken.

Kirk Medas, a star of Floribama Shore, regrets one thing about his life just before his unanticipated passing from necrotising pancreatitis.

The 33-year-old was a founding cast member of the obscene MTV reality show, which ran for four seasons and follows a group of eight 20-somethings living on the “pan handle” coast, which runs between Florida and Alabama.

For the two weeks leading up to his death, Medas was in an intensive care unit at a Miami hospital, with his family telling TMZ that he was in a coma and unable to breathe for himself. They later confirmed he had died from liver failure.

Eight weeks ago, Medas posted a video of himself working out in the gym that showed signs of good health. He also posted a heartfelt caption about his life and how he regrets not alcoholic sooner.

He resisted the loss of a lot over the course of the previous year, saying, “But he stayed resilient.” Body, mind, and spirit. The first step was completely altering my lifestyle.

Between 2017 and 2020, Medas was well-liked by viewers and his co-stars when he made 25 episodes of Floribama Shore.

After visiting him in the ICU, one fan said, “Watching someone you love go through something so painful and uncertain is heartbreaking, but your messages, prayers, and kind words have truly lifted us in this dark time.”

After appearing in Floribama Shore alongside Aimee, Nilsa Prowant, Gus Smyrnios, Jeremiah Buoni, Candace Rice, Codi Butts, and Kortni Gilson, Kirk rose to fame in 2017.

Before his death, Kirk’s family and friends joined forced to raise money for his hospital care. Nilsa wrote on Instagram: “Thank you all so much for the overwhelming love, prayers, donations, messages, and support for Kirk. He’s been in the ICU on a ventilator for two weeks now, fighting necrotizing pancreatitis and sepsis.”

In 2020 Medas was arrested in Georgia for drunk and disorderly behaviour. TMZ reported that as he was cuffed he shouted at police: “I’m on a TV show by the way.”
