Singh Johal previously worked for Wigan under Kolo Toure and as a Cesc Fabregas assistant while playing for the Italian side Como youth team.
Singh Johal also became one of the youngest English football coaches earlier this summer when he passed the Uefa Pro Licence exam.
Prior to joining Wigan in 2022, he spent ten years playing various roles in Leicester City’s youth academy.
Singh Johal stated in an interview with the BBC in June that he was “lucky to work with and learn from some incredible people, and I’m especially appreciative of Kolo and Cesc.”
I am aware of what world-class standards should look like, how to lead clearly, and how to create a true identity for a team.
After the National League suspended Morecambe for breaking league rules, the team had their opening games postponed.
In what would be their first competitive game since being relegated from League Two in May, they are scheduled to face Altrincham on Saturday.
