Cosmetic experts have revealed the rising trend sweeping across the celebrity world as stars including Olivia Hawkins, Molly-Mae Hague and Lottie Moss have got their fillers removed

Olivia Hawkins, Molly-Mae Hague and Lottie Moss are just a few of the famous faces making huge changes to their appearances, as cosmetic experts have taken note. In recent months, clinics say they have seen a shift in demand for filler with stars from across the entertainment industry leading the way.

Love Island star Olivia became the latest celebrity to dissolve her lip filler as she revealed her stunning transformation. She admitted she “didn’t recognise herself” as she gushed about the results of her cosmetic procedure.

Olivia said it had been so long since she first got them done that she doesn’t look like herself anymore and “can’t get used to it”. The Celebs Go Dating star added that she had wanted to dissolve her lip filler for “the longest time” and that she hadn’t seen her natural lips since 2021.

It seems Olivia isn’t the only celebrity to reverse their treatments as clinics have seen an increased demand across the board. Dr Riccardo Frati, who is one of the UK’s top cosmetic surgeons, told the Mirror : “In my opinion, there has been an increased demand for filler removals due to the general trend of looking for a more natural look.

“Most celebrities I believe may have taken it ‘too far’, and have now realised that their look was far too unnatural, and in some cases, overcorrected.” Dr Gizem Seymenoglu, a medical aesthetician in Longevita’s London Clinic, agreed as she noted people are opting for a natural look.

She told us: “I’d call it part of the so-called ‘undetectable era’ where people want their injectables to look as natural as possible. It’s basically a reaction to the days of overfilled lips, cheeks and puffy under eyes, which made the face look stretched and overdone.

“Now, it’s all about subtle tweaks that complement rather than change the face. Also, I’d say there’s a growing awareness that fillers aren’t suitable for everyone.”

However, she added: “This doesn’t mean that fillers are completely out. There are still people who get amazing results with fillers.” Dr Gizem Seymenoglu has seen the under-eyes become the most requested area for filler dissolution thanks to other treatments becoming readily available.

Salmon sperm and skin boosters are being used instead as they can improve skin quality without the need for filler. Dr Frati explained: “The impact shows less request for fillers and in particular, lip fillers – the current trend I believe is using the fillers to restore a nice, natural shape rather than featuring a fake or artificial look, such as extremely enhanced lips and cheeks.”

Dr Frati said the cost of getting fillers removed can be between £500 to £1500 per session while Dr Seymenoglu told us she would charge £295 per area for a single session of filler dissolution.

Explaining the procedure, she added: “Fillers made with hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase. But it’s not as simple as just injecting the enzyme into the target area.

“Hyaluronidase comes in powder form, and first, it’s prepared by being mixed with saline. Afterwards, it’s tested on the arm of the patient for an allergic reaction.” They would then move onto the face where numbing cream is applied if needed followed by a light massage.

Molly-Mae Hague is just one of the stars who has embraced a more natural appearance following her cosmetic work. She had reportedly spent thousands on lip and jaw fillers but has undone the work.

The Love Island star has even toned down her dazzling teeth as she had her composite bonds removed. Reflecting on her cosmetic work, Molly-Mae candidly said: “It looked horrendous. Someone took a screenshot of my video and it went viral.

“‘What’s Molly done to her face?’ was the response. I was mortified. The reality was that my once-sharp jawline had jowls hanging underneath, my lips felt lumpy, uneven and unnatural.”

Model Lottie Moss had her lip filler removed as she admitted to feeling more like herself. She shared with her fans: “I dissolved everything in my face that I had before.

“I used to have jaw filler, which looked awful, and I used to have lip filler, but it’s all gone now, and I look like me again.” Sisters Frankie and Chloe Sims have both joined the dissolving trend as the TOWIE stars shared the results of their new looks.

Chloe became one of the first stars to make the shift as she admitted: “I’m really happy that I’ve toned it all down and as you know I think it’s important to be honest with things like this. It’s my personal choice and that makes me feel confident.”

Frankie has since had her lip and under eye fillers dissolved after becoming concerned about puffiness and discoloration. She revealed she wanted to “remove everything from the past” and “embrace becoming more natural.”
