MLB bans fans who grabbed ball from player’s glove
Indefinitely, two New York Yankees fans were attempting to rip the ball from Mookie Betts’ glove in World Series four when the team attempted to do it.
When the fans, who were first row players, grabbed his wrist and pushed open his glove as he caught a foul ball from former Yankee Gleyber Torres at the right field wall.
This week, MLB addressed John P. Hansen and Austin Capobianco with the statement, “We went way beyond the norm for acceptable fan behavior.”
The two men “would be removed from the premises and subject to arrest for trespass” if they were discovered at any MLB locations or events.
