Before Princess Lilibet was born, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry danced in a stunning video that she and them attempted to induce labor for the pregnant duchess. Meghan and the young princess shared a number of never-before-seen photos of Lilibet with both of her parents as she celebrated her fourth birthday today.

Meghan and Harry danced around a hospital room four years ago as they waited for their daughter’s arrival, but Meghan also shared a throwback video on Instagram today that shows her at a very late point in the pregnancy. Meghan can be seen beginning to dance next to a hospital bed in the video, which features Harry on camera and showing off his moves to the song Baby Mama by social media artist Starrkeisha.

Later, he raises the top’s hood and dances with his wife, who can be seen holding a cannula in her left arm. Meghan added, “Four years ago today, this also happened,” in a video that came with the video. There was only one thing left to do when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture failed to help our children, and they were both a week past their due dates.

Meghan posted intimate family photos of “Daddy’s favorite adventurer and little girl” Lilibet to celebrate her fourth birthday just hours before the video was released.

Another image showed Meghan enjoying skin-to-skin time with the newlywed Lili as she clung to her baby in 2021. She described Lili’s relationship with Harry as “the sweetest bond to watch unfold” in a later post.

The princess and her father, the duchess, were seen together in additional photos, including “Daddy’s favorite adventurer and little girl.” Happy Lili’s birthday!

The youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, was born on June 4, 2021 in California.

Due to the regulations enacted by King George V in 1917, she only gained the status of princess when her grandfather, the King, acceded to the throne. Following correspondence with Charles about the issue, Harry and Meghan began using the prince and princess for Archie and Lili in 2023.

Lilibet is named in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, her great-grandmother. When Princess Elizabeth was a young child, Prince Elizabeth struggled to pronounce her own name, and her grandfather George V affectionately referred to her as Lilibet, imitating her own pronouncements. She continued to be referred to as Lilibet to her family after that sweet nickname.

Harry vividly recalls the intense moments that occurred just before the birth of his daughter in his memoir, Spare. He recalls telling Meg that I wanted mine to be the first face our young girl saw when the doctor said it was a matter of minutes.

My hands were submerged in the tiny neck and back. I cradled our precious daughter for a moment, trying to smile at her, and seeing her, but honestly, I couldn’t see anything. As I had seen in movies, I pulled her from that world.

Harry also mentions his first impressions of meeting his daughter, saying, “Hello. Where did you originate, I asked? Is it better there, please? Is it tranquil? Do you fear? Don’t be, don’t be, everything will work out. I’ll protect you.
