The Duke supported wife Meghan Markle at today’s TIME100 Summit, where the Duchess declared she is the “happiest she’s ever been” while Prince Harry is awaiting the outcome of his long legal battle.
Meghan Markle was all smiles as she arrived at today’s TIME100 Summit, accompanied by husband Prince Harry.
Last week, it was confirmed that the Duchess would be attending the glittering event in New York City, where she spoke alongside fellow A-listers Demi Moore and Ryan Reynolds.
Harry’s appearance, however, was less anticipated as the Duke, who had already entered a legal battle with the Home Office, arrived in the Big Apple to support his wife.
Speaking at today’s summit, which features high-profile individuals who “encourage action toward a better world”, Meghan, 43, declared that she was the “happiest she’s ever been”.

The Duchess of Sussex admitted to being the happiest person I’ve ever been, as reported by Harper’s Bazaar to audience members. I never imagined that I would feel so happy and grateful at this time because my husband and my partner are both so encouraging and my children are both healthy and happy.
The mother-of-two finished the look with $80 Veronica Beard brown belt and $ 495 Stuart Weitzman suede heels, according to the Mail Online, while sporting a tan Ralph Lauren suit, which costs just over $ 5, 000. Harry wore a dapper navy suit, which made him look smart.
Body language expert Judi James described Meghan’s “display of power” as she made a confident entrance to the lavish event for the Mirror US. Meghan’s body language indicates a little shyness and humility, according to Judi, who arrived on foot. The hands “wilt” here, hanging loosely from bent wrists in a display of a lack of strength or power, even though both arms are raised and bent at a 45 degree angle.
This comes as Harry, 40, remains waiting in limbo for the outcome of the latest stage of his legal battle with the Home Office concerning the level of taxpayer-funded personal security he and his family should receive when visiting the UK. The Duke of Sussex was at the Court of Appeal earlier this month for a legal fight he has described as his most important.
Back in February 2020, the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) determined that Harry should receive a different degree of taxpayer-funded protection when in the UK after he stepped down from his duties as a working royal. He is currently appealing against a High Court ruling which dismissed his case against the Home Office over this decision last year.
Jennie Bond, a former BBC royal correspondent, told the Mirror: “I believe Harry is sincere when he claims to want his children to be aware of and comprehend their heritage. And he has stated in public that he wants to see his brother and father back.
“But we now also know that Harry would be like a red rag to a bull because of this security problem.” He claims that this legal battle is more significant than any of his other legal battles. He feels deeply for injustice; he thinks there was a plot to “cry” him inside the Royal Family and stop him and his family from leaving the UK. And he appears to be working toward establishing that.
So I don’t believe his wife and children are actually the object of his burning desire to immigrate to the UK. More to his ire is due to his disdain for the way he perceives himself.
