Maura Higgins said ‘I say nothing and the story dies quicker’ before Danny Jones kiss

When confronted by being photographed with male celebrities at high-profile events, Maura Higgins once described her approach.

The 34-year-old former Love Island star recently became the subject of a heated exchange with married McFly actor Danny Jones at a BRITs after-party. She has, however, developed a skill for handling these rumors.

In a December interview with Paul C. Brunson on his We Need to Talk podcast, Maura discussed how to deal with situations where she has been photographed with other famous men, saying, “I don’t really care, I never come out and go, This is so not true.”

You’d be better off just saying nothing, she said, “because I’ve learned that saying nothing will cause the story to end sooner.” I believe I’ve just gotten used to it right away.

Because her friends and family are aware of the truth, Maura explained, and that is all that matters. She also discussed her previous relationships, confessing that she doesn’t have a “good track record” in terms of dating, and offered her thoughts on how to complement one another in friendships and partnerships.

She went on to explain her not-so-lucky love life further by saying, “I mean, I’ve not had a great relationship history,” according to the Daily Star. After the conversation, she later admitted that, in contrast to her best friend, every guy has just let me down. If I’m expecting that, I’m also expecting that I’ll never be in a good relationship.

The reality TV star has previously been linked to romantic rumors with Pete Wicks and Giovanni Pernice from TOWIE and Curtis Pritchard and Chris Taylor from Love Island.

Fans are talking about the most recent incident where she and her I’m a Celeb campmate exchanged a kiss. As they sat in a line of sight, a photo taken by the Sun shows Danny, who has been married to his wife since 2014, kissing Maura on the lips as they spoke. They “seemed to be having a great time,” according to a source who added, “They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.”
