Love Island’s Maura Higgins has been raking in £6, 000 a week from one of her businesses.
The I’m A Celebrity star has been focusing on her work projects and recently flew to the US following her drunken kiss with Danny Jones at the Brit Awards afterparty. It was reported that the duo spent a lot of the evening together on March 1. Maura, Danny and his wife have yet to publicly speak out about the incident.
Meanwhile, Maura recently took to her Instagram Stories to share the work she has been doing with Oh Polly. Besides working with the fast-fashion brand, Maura also has a fake eyelash firm called The Flutter Effect, which earned her £6, 000 a week in impressive figures for 2023.
She sells packs of £5 eyelashes and signed a deal with Primark, earning her a whopping income. Recent figures from the company showed the outfit has more than £390, 000 in cash and £290, 000 is held in investments. The reality star had a Corporation Tax bill of almost £60, 000 for the year to the end of November 2023.
The Mirror have reached out to Maura’s reps for comment. Georgia most recently broke her silence by sharing a black-and-white photo of her and Danny’s seven-year-old son named Cooper. She simply captioned her post with a blue heart emoji. The star and Danny were also pictured for the first time since the shock kiss as they enjoyed a stroll in Richmond.
Meanwhile, Maura has been focused on her work and has only been posting about her projects on social media. An insider recently claimed she’s ‘ keeping her head down because she isn’t enjoying this one bit’. “Normally with Maura, everywhere she goes, it’s tagged on social media – be it a restaurant, event or city – she likes people knowing where she is”, the source said.
Speaking to The Sun, they claimed: “The negative comments have hurt her bad. No wonder she’s fled the country. But Maura is deliberately shying away because she just wants to ride out this furore”. They went on to say she’s ‘ badly hurt ‘ over the comments about her ‘ kissing a married man’.
It comes after a pal said Danny and his wife are trying to gather some ‘ normality ‘ in the situation while Danny hopes to move past it. It was said: “Georgia is likely trying to resume some normality because she has other engagements that she has to fulfil. Danny has been too silent and I believe this is because he’s expecting it to pass and he can resume his career like normal. Danny has been more concerned to family and friends that his career is coming to an end, when he should be caring about his marriage to his wife and his son. It’s time for Danny to explain to his fans and audience what has happened and to own his mistakes
