Mitchell Marsh, the skipper of Australia, won the third T20 match against New Zealand with a 102 not out to claim a 2-0 series victory.
The opener held the Australia innings together while the wickets slipped at the opposing end.
After a respectable batting display from New Zealand, the visitors were on the verge of 157. After the top order ended 77-4, opener Tim Seifert recorded a top 48 from 35 balls.
The Black Caps won 156-9 against the Black Caps thanks to late comeos from Michael Bracewell and Jimmy Neesham, who both hit 26 and 25.
With 3-25, Sean Abbott won the match, while Josh Hazlewood and Xavier Bartlett each took two wickets.
Marsh’s dominant best response made it almost entirely clear that Mitchell Owen’s 14 was the second-highest score.
Off 52 balls, including eight fours and seven sixes, he managed an unbeaten 103.
