The singer was rushed to the hospital. She was then pronounced at the hospital. The two other victims are said to remain in a critical condition. The Los Angeles Police Department say the shooting took place just before 1:30am on Bryant Street east of Tampa Avenue in the Northridge neighbourhood.

In a statement released by the LAPD, “Several victims who were parked in the area in their vehicles were shot multiple rounds,” according to the statement. Police are currently conducting a manhunt to find the star’s killer, whose motive for the shooting is unknown.
No arrests had been made as of early on Monday afternoon. In the earlier stages of the investigation, police are said to have identified the rising star as a “20-year-old woman.”
However, she was later identified as Maria De La Rosa, 22, according to a statement released on Monday. Fans took to her social media page to leave a number of tributes after her death was revealed.
One devastated fan wrote on an Instagram post: “This one hurt me the most. I love you forever. S*** will never be the same without you. RIP.” Another said: “Sweet angel, may you rest peacefully now.”
A third person also expressed their own heartache, sadly stating, “Damn gone too soon, rip legend.” I’m in such great pain right now, I never could have imagined living without you,” a fourth solemnly said. My heart is broken and shattered.
Her passing occurred shortly after her birthday celebration. She had recently made a joke about getting ready to release new music.
