With the knee injury he suffered at Tottenham Hotspur just before the international break, Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko is expected to miss about a month.

Sesko, who came on as a second-half substitute for RB Leipzig for £74m in August, was hurt in the 2-2 draw on November 8 and was unable to come to an end.

Although club sources have downplayed concerns that the Slovenian forward had a significant injury, head coach Ruben Amorim said afterward that he did not know if it was a serious issue.

The 22-year-old was excluded from Slovenia’s World Cup qualifiers, but he is currently expected to miss about four weeks, though it is still to be determined how long he will be absent.

Prior to Monday’s Premier League game against Everton at Old Trafford (20:00 GMT), Amorim will provide an update on the situation.

The departure of Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo for the Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off in Morocco on December 21st, is likely to result in a brief rematch.

It is not anticipated that United or the other Premier League clubs will have to release players as soon as possible. On December 15, they travel to Bournemouth at home.
