A “major gas leak at Cappielow” has forced Sunday’s Scottish Championship game between Greenock Morton and Raith Rovers to be postponed.

Following the three matches in Scottish League 1 and League 2 that were postponed on Saturday due to a snowy or frozen pitch.

Morton said on their website: “Services are on hand to fix the issue, but we have been advised this will not be fixed in time for tomorrow’s match.

The pitch would have been fit for tomorrow if it had been affected by the low temperatures this week.

Due to the icy conditions, three second-tier games were moved from Saturday.

Additionally, Greenock games against Livingston and Ayr United were moved to Tuesday (both 19:45 GMT).

Due to frozen pitches, Dumbarton v Arbroath and Annan Athletic v Inverness Caledonian Thistle were delayed on Saturday in League 1, while Cove Rangers v Montrose was snowed off.

Bonnyrigg Rose vs. Stranraer and Stirling Albion v. Spartans were postponed in the fourth tier due to frozen pitches.

That leaves only one game in League 1, including Kelty Hearts v. Stenhousemuir live on BBC Alba, and three games in League 2, with Falkirk v. Queen’s Park having won on Saturday.
