‘Magical’ – Glorious Goodwood triumph for Jm Jungle

PA

On the final day of Glorious Goodwood, Jm Jungle, trained by John and Sean Quinn, won the Group Two King George Stakes by a surprise 14-1 margin.

It was the five-year-old’s first Group-race performance, Ridden by Jason Hart.

After a clever break from the far-side group, Hart steered his mount into the lead inside the final furlong, winning by a neck.

Sean Quinn, who trains alongside his father John, described him as “a very, very good horse” for ITV Racing. To be honest, I’m a little lost for words.

It is “magical,” Hart asserted. On uneven ground, he also won the three-year-old handicap. One of my all-time favorite meetings of the year is probably this. This Goodwood meeting is frequently missed by John and Sean.

She’s Quality finished second in her fourth straight race, followed by Commonwealth Cup champion Time For Sandals, who finished third by half a length.

Big Mojo, the favorite, was only able to place fifth.
