Love Island’s Maya Jama reveals controversial couple she wants to reunite

After more than six years apart, former Love Island couple Maya Jama has teased her.

The TV presenter, 30, has shared her hopes for the second series of spin-off All Stars ahead of its launch on ITV2 next week. The line-up for the new series includes exes Marcel Somerville, 39, and Gabby Allen, 32, who broke up in 2018.

Maya calls Love Island, one of her favorite shows, their third season, which they had previously met on in 2017. Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay were named the winners, but Marcel and Gabby went fourth in the final together. After he cheated on her during a romantic getaway following a number of rows, Marcel and Gabby continued their romance outside the villa.

Despite the break-up, Maya admits she’s still rooting for them and hopes they can reconcile. She told the Mirror: “I have to be neutral, but I am very excited about Gabby and Marcel. Just because I was captivated by everything about their relationship after watching that series. Now that I’ve followed them outside, I’d like to see who they end up with. I think Marcel is such a cutie”.

Gabby revealed that she hasn’t spoken to her ex Marcel in six years before going face-to-face with him in the All Stars villa in South Africa. She told us: “Things did end quite badly. You know it was a cheating situation, but how it happened like it was just crazy, you know, and it’s more because it really knocked my trust.

We haven’t spoken in six years, so I suppose there would be conversations if he went to the villa, which I suppose would encourage discussion. I also hope to find some sort of common ground, so that we can move forward rather than look backward.

Gabby added that it was” a long time ago “though and said that there are” literally no hard feelings”.
