It can be difficult to decide what to wear if, like me, you’ve been hibernating in your Oodie and have to brave the cold outside. especially now that the New Year is approaching and people are trying to reinvent themselves and their wardrobe.

Luckily for us, Louise Thompson, one of our favourite fashion inspirations, has just provided us with a cold-weather dressing idea that is equally stylish and practical.

The former Made in Chelsea actress shared the “dreamy co-ord” she wore at the end of last year on Instagram. To our luck, it is now 50% off in Free People’s January sale. The Cuddle Me Co-Ord is now £89.95, down from £158.

The funnel neck, which Louise praised, is a great way to keep the chill off your neck in cold weather. I know you’re probably thinking, how can a mini skirt set keep you warm? The secret to wearing mini skirts in the winter is to purchase a pair of fleece-lined tights underneath.

We believe the M&amp, S pair will change the game because of how well-protected it is by the nude lining, which gives it a sheer, tight appearance that rivals other lined tights can’t.

The jumper’s funnel neck is ideal for cold (Free People) weather.

Then, on top of the fleece tights, you’ll want to invest in a pair of knee-high (or over-the-knee) boots. You can expect to stay cozy and warm throughout the entire day without sacrificing style. If you have to wear dresses or skirts to work in the middle of winter, this trick is a lifesaver.

The trendy khaki color is another design feature that we adore about the co-ord. On the A/W runways, olive and khaki greens were also visible last year, despite the fact that red had a big year. In 2025, the earthy tone is universally flattering and will not change.

If khaki isn’t your thing, you’ll be pleased to know that the co-ord is also available in a gorgeous powder blue shade as well, making it ideal for spring.

Charcoal grey and powder blue versions are also available
Free People also has versions in charcoal grey and powder blue.

In the cold, are you not persuaded to wear a miniskirt? There are a few knit-co-ord alternatives that feature trousers and are guaranteed to keep your legs warm. A cozy high-neck jumper and a pair of trousers from River Island came first. The top is available for £22 here, and the trousers for £26 here. Depending on your desired style, you can easily dress up or down this chic lounge set.

A similar ribbed funnel neck jumper to Louise’s Free People co-ord can be found in a knitted matching set from Pretty Little Thing. The jumper and matching trousers are both on sale, and the PLT set is only costing £24. Alongside the charcoal grey colour, there are also black, cream and camel brown versions up for grabs.
