After discovering his three-year affair, singer Lily Allen has openly discussed her split from Stranger Things star David Harbour and the effects it had had on her and her children.

Lily Allen has revealed how her painful breakup with Stranger Things star David Harbour has affected her mental health.

Allen and Harbour began dating in 2019 and married in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2020. After four years together, they quietly split in late 2024, with their separation confirmed earlier this year. The 40-year-old singer has since spoken candidly about her split from the actor, 50, and its impact on her and her children.

My kids had an amazing time living in America for five years, and Lily has since expressed her feelings for my ex-husband. We all suffer, in my opinion. Following the discovery that David had a secret profile on the celebrity dating app Raya, Lily revealed she had become suicidal after their four-year union ended in December.

The singer reportedly joined Raya herself after posing as a “looking for women” and discovered that David had already made a profile, which had put her in “agony.” Following the devastating split, the star has since agreed to pay £8, 000 per week for trauma treatment at a report.

Despite her difficulties, Lily also revealed to British Vogue that she “came close to relapsing on drink and drugs and developed a really, really bad problem with food.” She acknowledged that over the past few years, she’s had real issues with her diet. It got really, really bad in the middle of the breakup.

The singer described how overwhelming the despair was after six years of sobriety. I was experiencing “so much desperation.” It was agonizing to sit with those feelings and choose not to use them because I last experienced them when I felt anything like that.

Lily voluntarily entered a residential treatment facility after realizing she needed assistance. I’ve previously entered those areas against my will, and I consider that to be progress. That’s strength, on her self-awareness. I was aware that the emotions I was experiencing were too extreme to handle, and I needed some rest.

Although she has made progress, Lily admitted in March that she is still struggling and that she is still in pain. I’m sort of fleeing. I might experience a nervous breakdown.

She announced that she would be leaving the Brooklyn townhouse she once shared with David after the split. The couple’s elegant New York home, which featured a Parisian-inspired media room and tiger-print furnishings, was recently renovated and featured in Architectural Digest.

Lily purchased an ex-council flat in London, where she plans to raise her two daughters. She told The Mirror that decorating the flat has helped her through a difficult period. “I’m really enjoying those at the moment. I’ve obviously had quite a hard time and that’s really helped me.”

On her, Miss Me? According to the interview, Lily explained why she chose to purchase the new apartment because it is “slap bang” in the neighborhood where she was raised and is being gentrified by the neighborhood.

She continued, “I’ve wanted to live in this building since I was a baby, and it’s been a dream of mine forever, and I finally found a flat there, which I did,” and I did. However, I am aware that others are judging it. In her New York home after the breakup, Lily also openly discussed how “extremely heavy” and lonely life there was. She also earlier this year spoke out about it.
