Pop star Lily Allen has been seen getting to know another actor as she enjoyed a day out at a London festival following her split from husband David Harbour last year
Lily Allen has been spotted getting cosy with another actor following her split from husband David Harbour. The pop star, 40, is said to have joined celebrity dating app Raya in an effort to move on from their painful separation.
It appears it may have worked as she was seen getting close with actor James Norton over the weekend. It comes after Lily and Stranger Things actor David split in December last year – four years after they married one another.
Earlier this year, it was claimed that throughout their marriage, David had an affair behind Lily’s back. He was reportedly spotted on a celebrity dating app during his marriage to Lily.
The actor has not publicly acknowledged the accusations that he cheated on Lily or that he was on an app while married to the singer. It seems Lily is ready to focus on herself and have fun as she beamed alongside James, 39, at the Lido Festival in East London on Saturday.
The actor, who split from his model girlfriend last month, is also said to use dating app Raya. Lily and James were seen at the festival as they shunned the VIP arena in favour of watching the artists on their own, including Charli XCX, in photos seen by the Sun.
“Lily and James appeared to be on a date,” a source told the publication. “They were together for the day and were chatting and laughing together as they watched Charli XCX.
“Lily was leaning into him at one point. She and James seemed really relaxed together and she was really making him giggle.” The pair were said to be drinking non-alcoholic beer and that festival goers were doing double takes when they saw them together.
Things have been tough for Lily following the split as she entered a treatment centre earlier this year in order to process the breakdown of her marriage. In March, Lily opened up about the split for the first time during a live recording of her podcast at the Hackney Empire in London, telling the crowd: “I am not over it.
“I am sort of running away. Maybe I will have a nervous breakdown.” David recently talked about his personal life as he said he had let himself go “physically and emotionally.”
It came just hours after he confirmed their split after ditching his wedding ring on the red carpet at the premiere for the Marvel movie, Thunderbolts. David said: “I can go to these dark places.”
When prompted directly about his split from Lily, David gave a two-word response. “Oh boy,” he commented. But he later opened up about his reasoning for remaining silent.
“I’m protective of the people and the reality of my life,” he said. He added to GQ Magazine that he didn’t see the point in engaging with the interest surrounding the split as it had been based on “hysterical hyperbole.”
