After being banned from a top dating app after her marriage to Stranger Things actor David Harbour broke down, Lily Allen has confirmed her relationship status.
After her marriage to Stranger Things star David Harbour broke down, Lily Allen has suggested she may have found love.
Fans were quick to speculate that Lily’s fifth album, West End Girl, was heavily inspired by her separation from Harbour and her first since No Shame’s release last week. It has been streamed more than eight million times and is currently at the top of the UK iTunes chart.
However, this doesn’t seem to be the case despite the widespread assumption that Allen, 40, had turned her back on finding love. She has already set her sights on a special person and is now using the exclusive dating app where she met Harbour, 50.
In a new interview, Lily revealed she isn’t looking for a relationship and turned her back on dating a celebrity. She said, “I’m not really looking to go out with another famous person.”
Lily revealed to Interview that Hinge prohibited her from using the dating app because they believed she was acting in a fake. I can demonstrate that I’m that person, like: “I’m like that. I’m like, “You’ll need to send us your ID,” and you’re like, “Actually, my name and the name on my ID aren’t the same.”
She continues to use a limited dating app, though. She stated, “I’m not in a relationship, but I do meet some people.” Allen, 40, claimed over the weekend that she spent two hours sat and crying in the recording studio while making the album.
She insists she has “artistic license,” and things she experienced in her relationship are documented, even though she says she’s not sure if everything is accurate.
However, a source claims Lily is “no angel” and is not. “Lily isn’t exactly a good angel,” a source said. She wanted the big house and the lifestyle, but she detested it before giving David a completely false impression of who and what she is.
Men find her hard work, they said in a statement to the Daily Mail: “Men find her hard work, and something about her makes them pull their hair out and run a mile.” The same thing happened to Sam Cooper, her ex. She was told to sing about David if she wanted to sell albums, but she’s now doing it.
Other sources claim that David would be promoting the Stranger Things finale while Lily’s timing of the release was “very deliberate.” He is reportedly unable to attend the press conference because it would be an “utter embarrassment” for him to be subjected to a media grilling.
In one song, Lily talks about an alleged agreement she had with Harbour to start a relationship in public, called Madeline. On the track, she states, “Be discreet and don’t be blatant; there had to be payment, it had to be with strangers, but you’re not a stranger, Madeline.”
