Kate Cassidy revealed that at the age of 10, she fell in love with Liam Payne.
He was one fifth of the world’s biggest boyband, One Direction, with billions of fans across the globe. But she knew that she would end up with the Wolverhampton-born musician. Kate, 25, was hoping to marry Liam, but she had no idea how it would turn out.
On October 16, Liam, 31, died from a balcony in his third-floor hotel room in Argentina, where he had been on vacation. After spending time with him, Kate returned to Florida two days before his fall. He died after enduring numerous traumas that resulted in “internal and external hemorrhage.”
Few people actually date celebrities, despite the fact that many only dream about meeting them. Kate was left stunned after a bizarre encounter with Liam one night because of this. She described him as her “childhood crush” and that Liam and his former bandmates have been posters on her bedroom walls since she was ten when she first started dating.
“Growing up, I had posters on walls. I believe I may have seen One Direction, but I’m not sure if I saw his solo work. But I did have him at some point on my wall”, she said. In her first interview since beginning to date Liam, she later claimed that she probably did the One Direction dance routines because Liam was a capable dancer.
She didn’t care about his fame or staggering wealth; she described the late musician as one of the best people she’d ever met. In a South Carolina bar in September 2022, Liam requested her number before asking her out. For Liam, the attraction was immediate, and he asked for her number straight away. However, their relationship almost didn’t take off. Due to having an American number, Kate gave Liam her phone number, but she forgot to add + 1 to her area code.
Following their first date, a bowling match, the two immediately fell head over, and Liam delayed his flight back to London by checking into a hotel for 48 hours. He said, “Would you like to be my girlfriend and would you like to move in with me, and we were watching a movie in bed.” Like, I really love you, ‘” she revealed.
Kate acknowledged she “definitely” wanted children while the two had plans to get married and had spoken about their futures as their relationship grew stronger. She also admitted she “definitely” wanted them both. She claims that Liam’s relationship with him is similar to a fairy tale and that his hectic life should be considered “normal.”
Speaking about her decision to leave Liam in Argentina, Kate said: “I had a responsibility, we had a responsibility. I never, ever imagined that this would happen because we had our dog. No, I never considered that he might pass away young because it was a tragic accident. But, you know, we did have our own separate lives — this wasn’t the first time we have travelled separately”.
In the days leading up to Liam’s tragic fall, she revealed online that she had no option but to leave Argentina, where they were staying. Kate said: “I was so ready to leave. I love South America, but I detest staying too long there. Our scheduled five-day trip turned into two weeks, and I was like, “I need to go home. “
