Adam Collard, the sports presenter’s partner, had attributed the miscarriage to his previous actions just before Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
TV presenter Laura Woods has opened up about the “very awful times” she and fiancé Adam Collard have endured after she suffered a miscarriage.
Laura, 38, posted on Instagram a clip of Adam on Channel 4 show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins and gushed about her “big, beautiful man” in the wake of their tragedy. When former Love Island contestant Adam, 29, took part in the programme, he burst into tears as he recalled the miscarriage.
Adam talked about losing his unborn child in the video Laura posted yesterday. Laura captioned her post, “We really had some very bad times last year, but this big, beautiful man has got me through them all,” and I’m so proud to have watched him go through it. “

Laura and Adam have been dating since October 2023. They became engaged in September last year and welcomed a son named Leo in January this year. The mum said her son has helped her find comfort during her difficult time.
In addition, a further Instagram post states, “Sometimes I look at Leo and think of the baby we’ll never meet, but I’m aware that we wouldn’t have Leo without it.” It’s very perplexing to feel.
“When it happened a wonderful nurse in the hospital said to me – this little one wasn’t meant for this world, so this process is its way of keeping you safe… And that really did fill me with a lot of comfort. So I thought I’d share that in case there’s anyone reading that has been affected by miscarriage too. Lots of love.”
Personal trainer Adam paid tribute to Laura, who works for ITV among other broadcasters, in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. The dad, originally from Newcastle, even said he felt it was “bad karma” for his previous “love rat” persona.
After a difficult few months, the father almost gave up on Celeb SAS. When it was so close to getting there a second time and telling everyone, he said, “We, erm, lost something.”
The staff informed him that he was discussing a miscarriage as the tears began to fall, and Adam nodded. The personal trainer continued, “I think I was proud of the fact that I was excited for it, which I didn’t think I ever would be,” and that when it was taken away, which was ten times worse for her, it hit us like a ton of bricks.
