If you’re hoping to have a fresh-looking set of nails in time for Christmas Day then this is the date you need to book your salon appointment by – but slots are filling up fast

A lot of us probably want to look out best over the festive period, and for many, this means the polished finish of a professional manicure. And with appointment slots already booking up in November and December, it’s not too early to book in for your beauty top-ups.

According to the experts at beauty and wellness booking platform Fresha, appointments with your favourite beauty professionals during the weeks before Christmas can get booked up as early as October, so it’s worth thinking about getting your appointments in now.

Fresha expert Sophie Vongkhamsao says, “Beauty professionals have limited availability over the festive season due to such high demand, and you’ll need to get ahead of the festive rush to secure your booking. In fact, Christmas bookings can fill up as early as October, and we always recommend that you book your appointments as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

” Remember, lengthy services like hairdresser appointments can take hours, and so these slots can be harder to come by than a shorter appointment, such as gel nails. If you want your treatment or service, such as hair, nails or lashes, to be freshly done ahead of an event like a work party or Christmas day itself, it’s especially important to get these dates booked in now. “

And last year, nail technician Eva Benjamin from EJB Nails told Fresha exactly what dates you should book your final nail appointment before Christmas for to ensure that your nails will look fresh throughout the festive period: between the 12-18 December – if you can still get in with your favourite salon.

Fresha also found that last year, surprisingly, searches for nail appointments increased the most between the 8-14 December, suggesting a surge in those looking for late festive appointments. However, you might find that you’ve left it far too late by then to book a slot with your favourite nail tech.

” I absolutely loved the finished result of my manicure using this new products, “says Laura”. It was smooth, glossy and not at all bulky, and I could immediately feel how much stronger they felt compared to regular gel polish.
