Tess Daly, the departure of Strictly Come Dancing presenter, and La Voix’ jovial dynamic have been discussed in comments from La Voix.
Strictly Come Dancing star La Voix has shared her experiences of her backstage banter with long time host of the popular BBC programme Tess Daly.
La Voix, who is current paired up with dancing pro Aljaž Škorjanec and is the show’s first drag queen, has also admitted she would be up for taking over from either Tess or her fellow exiting co-host Claudia Winkleman when the pair leave Strictly.
Speaking to The Sun, La Voix said that even if she doesn’t get the presenting job she would like to put herself forward as Tess’ stylist before sharing some of the backstage joviality the pair have experienced over this series.
She stated to the publication that she would like to work as Tess’ stylist going forward if the presentation job is not obtained. With my observational awareness, I’m giving her more power.
Tess responded to my request with more grace than I had anticipated. She will say, “Come on La Voix, what have you got to say on this outfit then? ” every week when she speaks to me backstage.
She eggs me on, but she will stop me and say, “Let’s save it for on air.” I’m so happy that she’s a part of the joke. She makes me laugh.
La Voix’s comments come as it was revealed that they will not be able to participate in this week’s Strictly due to injury, which will take place this weekend in Blackpool.
A Strictly spokesperson said in a statement that “La Voix has been advised to rest due to injury” and will not do so in this weekend’s Blackpool specials.
“In line with the rules of Strictly Come Dancing, La Voix and Aljaž will receive a bye through to next week when it is hoped they will be able to dance again. We wish La Voix the very best for a speedy recovery.”
La Voix, who is formally known as Christopher Dennis, added in a separate statement that it is “with great sadness that I have to withdraw from Blackpool’s Strictly Come Dancing shows this weekend.”
“My heart breaks knowing I won’t be dancing in such a famous venue because of an injury, and I’ve been advised that I’m ineligible.”
Aljao and I have worked incredibly hard, and we were so excited to share our routine with everyone.
“My main concern is recovering, but I’m devastated not to be joining the rest of the cast on that famous dancefloor.” This weekend, I’ll be cheering on all the amazing couples.
