Kneecap were all smiles while partying with Jamie Dornan after their Glastonbury Festival set this afternoon.

The hip hop trio, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, posed with the Fifty Shades of Grey actor after their performance. In a photo shared on the group’s Instagram Stories, the band can be seen posing for a photo while sitting down with Jamie, who is also from Northern Ireland.

The 43-year-old star, who was named one of Ireland’s greatest film actors by The Irish Times in 2020, was pictured holding a can during the post-gig celebrations. Kneecap have been in the headlines after member Liam Og O hAnnaidh, who performs under the name Mo Chara, was charged with a terror offence.

Naoise O Caireallain, who plays under the name Moglai Bap, said they would “start a riot outside the courts” before adding that they would only love and support Palestine in the wake of his bandmate’s upcoming court appearance. In the run-up to the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, several politicians demanded that Kneecap be dropped from the lineup, and Somerset’s Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer remarked that their performance was inappropriate.

Caireallain said during the performance, “F*keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of your country, not mine, said he didn’t want us to play.” In response to calls for the organisers to remove them from the lineup, he added, “they stood strong” and “a big thank you to the Eavis family.”

In homage to the soon-to-be-banned campaign group, O hAnnaidh, 27, wore a keffiyeh during the set, while JJ O Dochartaigh, who performs under the name DJ Provai, donned his signature tri-colored balaclava and a T-shirt that read “We are all Palestine Action.” The Glastonbury Festival audience booed the hip-hop trio as they entered the stage, according to news broadcasts.

The trio performed songs from their 2024 album Fine Art, including Get Your Brits Out and Hood, before opening with Better Way To Live. Around 45 minutes before the West Holts Stage performance, when groups of fans gathered to form a sea of Irish and Palestinian flags, the area was made accessible.

The BBC confirmed earlier on Saturday that the set would not be being live-streamed, but that it is likely to be available on-demand later. At a concert in November of last year, O hAnnaidh was accused of allegedly shouting “up Hamas, up Hezbollah” while allegedly displaying a flag in support of the terrorist organization Hezbollah.

The rapper and bandmates O Caireallain and O Dochartaigh arrived at Westminster Magistrates’ Court wearing Free Mo Chara T-shirts on June 18 and received cheers from hundreds of supporters. He was let go until the following court hearing on August 20.

At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the festival, Haim was revealed as the surprise act on the Park Stage. The band resurrected a raucous rendition of The Wire’s hit single as they bounced on the stage in black and silver. Singer Danielle Haim stated after the song, “On our first album, we came to Glastonbury, and we played the Park Stage, I love you, and it was the best show I had ever played, and this tops everything.”

The band’s surprise act featured a red LED sign akin to the one on their earlier this year’s new album, I Quit. The Haim show was about to begin, according to the sign.

Additionally, Haim delved into some of their most popular songs, including Relationships, Summer Girl, and Want You Back, two of their most recent singles. Pulp were revealed to be Patchwork while performing on the Pyramid Stage, with the Sheffield-formed Britpop group humming a tribute to their breakthrough 1995 stand-in headline set.
