Kim Kardashian’s most recent SKIMS promotional stunt for her swimwear brand has received a lot of positive feedback.

A gigantic blow-up doll was strategically placed in Times Square, New York, to promote her new swimwear line. The inflatable figure was dressed in a swimsuit that Kim had recently worn herself, akin to Kim’s famous curves. The SKIMS branding was prominently displayed on a long box next to it.

With its busty and small-waisted proportions and a slew of other things, the doll, which was reportedly a resembling Kim’s hourglass figure, quickly caught the attention of passers-by. Kim herself wrote: “OMG… In the middle of Times Square, there is a 60-foot float of me in SKIMS Swim.

Not everyone was impressed, though. The over-the-top stunt was quickly mocked on social media by quickly taking to the streets. Many people described the doll as “terrifying,” partially covered in arms and face. One user wrote, “Nah there’s children around, there’s no doubt.” Others expressed their criticism. Not like this.

Another remarked, “This is a woman’s body in an unrealistic way.” This is so awful, according to a third writer. Fourth-frustrated user referred to as “tacky AF, tone deaf, and ego-centric.” Perhaps the worst product campaign launch ever.

Others questioned the city council’s decision to approve such a display. Are you okay, according to one user who wrote: “To whomever at the city council who approved this”? Another added: “That’s too much now…..!!!!! violating the law. A sixth critic remarked, “This is so revolting.” Although the marketing ploy may have attracted attention, it’s obvious that many fans weren’t happy with the bizarre blow-up doll in Times Square.

Kim made the decision to remain silent about Kanye West’s ongoing rants on X (previously Twitter) last month. The reality TV star appeared to concentrate on her business rather than address his behavior in public. Without mentioning Kanye’s bizarre posting spree, she provided a link to her online store, Kardashian Kloset, where she sells used designer goods.

Kim, 44, posted a link to purchase the items after seeing a clip of them available, including a sheer Jean Paul Gaultier that wouldn’t look out-of-place on Kanye’s wife Bianca Censori. Without making any mention of her ex’s social media meltdown, she continued to share skincare products and sunglasses.

Kanye’s controversial tweets on Twitter, formally known as X, have caused outrage among fans and critics alike following his problematic appearance at this week’s Grammy Awards. The father-of-four took to social media over the course of three days, posting anti-Semitic remarks, saying he has “dominion over” his wife Bianca, 30, and also describing a top with a swastika on as an “art piece.”
