Madison Keys, the 19th seed, defeated Aryna Sabalenka, the defending champion of the Australian Open women’s final on Saturday, winning 6-3.
Sabalenka, the world’s number one, entered the Melbourne final as favorite, but Keys, who was aiming to win her first Grand Slam title, took the opening set 35 minutes.
