Keira Knightley fumes Peppa Pig is the reason she’s not having any more children

Peppa Pig’s inability to have any more children has been attributed to Keira Knightley.

The Black Doves star, 39, who shares daughters, Delilah, nine and Eddie, five, with husband, James Righton, opened up about her family plans on the Jimmy Fallon show while promoting her new Netflix gig.

Keira admitted it was a welcome change from their love of Peppa Pig after revealing that her children were now “very cool” watching Studio Ghibli, the Japanese animation studio founded by Hayao Miyazaki. She shared: “They’re into other, beautiful things where you’re like, oh, this is just lovely, after seven years of Peppa Pig. You know”?

Claiming the cartoon about the pre-school pig has put her off becoming a mum again, she continued: “You know that thing where you’re like: ‘ Oh, you know, they’re so nice, should we have another one? ‘ And you think, oh, yeah, I could do the pregnancy. I could even do the birth. However, Peppa Pig is beyond watchable. It’s not going to happen”.

As one of the world’s most recognisable actresses, Keira is still the toast of Hollywood, however she admitted her stardom hasn’t impressed her daughter, Delilah, who she said finds her mum “embarrassing”.

Recalling an awkward party, she threw for her eldest child, who Keira insisted “really is very cool”, the actress admitted: “She finds me really embarrassing, yeah. It’s really annoying. I thought that like — you know when they’re teenagers, you think ‘ Yeah, they’re gonna find me embarrassing. ‘ But yeah, but nine, right? ‘
