Following the Supreme Court’s decision affirming Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar as the legitimate Emir, the Kebbi State Government has warm congratulations for the Emir of Gwandu.
On Wednesday, the verdict was passed.
The emirate’s Commissioner for Information and Culture, Yakubu Birnin Kebbi, and the Kebbi State government both cited the victory as the outcome of a long-running conflict and litigation that has plagued the region for 20 years in a press release signed by the commissioner for information and culture.
The government noted that the decision had a negative effect on the emirate’s ability to function effectively and had raised questions.

The statement urged the Emir to declare victory with allegiance and to unite all feuding family members to restore stability and stability to the traditional institution and emirate.
Gwandu Emirate residents were also urged to take the ruling as a call for unity and reconciliation, making use of Dr. Nasir Idris’s current administration’s unprecedented development and advancement in order to achieve more sustainable development.
