The former glamour model is being warned about the high risks of the procedure as Katie Price prepares for a third BBL procedure, according to a source who claims her family is ” worried.”
Friends and family are said to be worried about Katie Price as she prepares to go under the knife for a BBL, with concerns that the former glamour model may be putting herself into danger with potentially her riskiest procedure yet.
Mum-of-five Katie confirmed earlier this month that she is going for Brazilian butt lift (BBL) surgery, after previously cancelling the surgery. Alongside two previous BBLs, Katie, 46, has had 16 boob jobs and numerous cosmetic surgeries over the years.
However, Dr. Gerard Lambe, one of the top plastic surgeons in the UK and head of Reflect Clinic UK, claims Katie may be more vulnerable this time around.
With the countless procedures she’s undergone in the last year alone, Katie needs to be aware that she is putting her health and body under the worst of conditions, says Dr. Lambe.
One of Katie’s riskiest surgeries to date is “BBL,” which is one of the most dangerous surgeries that anyone can undergo. It also has the highest mortality rate. She is “dicing with death.”
A source claims Katie’s family is worried that after all of her previous operations, she might not be able to undergo yet another procedure as a result of the increased risk.
“Katie’s family is all very concerned,” said the actress. They are concerned about her repeating the procedure and do not want her to undergo surgery. They worry that this could be her most dangerous one, they said. Katie is a very defensive person and won’t listen, but it’s such a sensitive subject. She believes that’s what she needs.
Katie had previously scheduled a BBL for herself at the beginning of the year, but she confirmed in February that she had canceled the procedure and would instead work out at the gym to develop her glutes. However, Katie announced to fans earlier this month that the procedure had been changed.
Taking to Instagram, Katie said, “I’m about to see the surgeon now, he’s just joined the clinic about sorting my butt out. It’s so neat doing it, it’s like a deflatable balloon and I want some volume in it.”
According to the source, Katie’s inner circle is concerned that she is not taking the risks that might be presented. “Friends and family feel like it’s impossible to get through her and they’re dancing around the subject, but realistically they don’t know if her body can handle another operation, so it’s a scary situation,” the source continues.
In contrast, Dr. Lambe asserts that the human body requires lengthy recuperations in the interim for any significant surgeries, even cosmetic ones. She puts a lot of pressure on her heart and organs, and she doesn’t allow the time between surgeries to heal.
He continues, stating that, regardless of previous surgery, BBLs are risky for anyone because of not just Katie’s past. The fat can enter large, large veins and travel to the heart or lungs when the fat is injected deeply, and in severe cases, this can be fatal. Additionally, strict post-operative protocols must be followed.
It comes as the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has also cracked down on advertisements for BBL surgeries due to the procedure’s level of risk.
