Katie Price has spoken out about her future and expressed concern that she might be left homeless if her rental landlord decides to sell the house where she currently resides.
Katie Price might have to move out of her rental property, leaving her without a place to live. The former glamour model turned TV star has been incredibly honest about how much she has cheated on herself and had to give up her Mucky Mansion home as a result of growing debts.
The 47-year-old has lived for eight months in a four-bedroomed, imitation Tudor-style home in Sussex. The house is rented out by Katie for about £5,000 per month. Katie has now admitted she’s at a crossroads and has spoken out about her future with the company.
Katie has claimed she is struggling to find a guarantor so she can rent a new home despite claiming to make a fortune from her lucrative adult subscription page and brand deals.
She continued, “I was supposed to have this place for about two years,” before adding that the owner, a very nice guy, had already given me the opportunity to do so.
And I’ve made all the payments on time, as expected, including the bills. He now wants to sell it, though. Katie continued, “It p*******s me off, speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, with my sister Sophie. Some of the homes I inspect don’t have a guarantee. Some people don’t make money, just like my guarantee.
The landlord wants to pay me the full amount of the house upfront in case I miss a payment, and he also wants a guarantor, despite having the best reference from this guy ever. It is incredibly annoying. Because that person has read the papers, I am subject to scrutiny. It’s very obnoxious.
Sophie and Katie made an effort to break the silence, saying, “They are now asking for more, it is more competitive. However, Katie, who has never denied her struggles, revealed that “people don’t realize I got into all that bankruptcy stuff because I had a breakdown” rather than “because I didn’t want to pay.”
The TV star has been declared bankrupt twice, once in November 2019 and once in March 2024. Both of which were discharged. After being evicted due to financial difficulties, her former home, Mucky Mansion, which she purchased in 2014 from Francis Maude, was put on the market in December.
Katie explained earlier this month that she had started looking for a new home on Rightmove after learning that her landlord wanted to sell the property. She said, “I have to move because the owner wants to sell the house right now. So I need to re-evaluate my house hunting.
“I might move my children’s school farther away. I’ll talk to the guy; he might let me stay a little while, but he might not. “Katie is eager to move closer to her children’s schools, if she can’t stay,” she said.
After cutting the price twice in December, she finally found a buyer for Mucky Mansion. The home’s price was initially £1.5 million, before being reduced to £1.3 million.
However, the star later reduced the amount to £1.15 million after failing to pay the mortgage. She was left with no money because the sale was used to pay off her debts.
