Katie Price has opened up about the trauma she has from her Mucky Mansion.

The former model was evicted from her mock Tudor home in May last year after she failed to keep up her payments on the mortgage for the property. Katie had purchased the home from ex Tory peer, Francis Maude, and it even had its own Channel 4 programme as she attempted to renovate the derelict building she once called home.

But after moving out of the once glorious property with sprawling gardens, Katie lashed out and said that it was “cursed” and she had nothing but “bad memories” as she looked to start a fresh in her swanky new home. Now, the 46-year-old has opened up about the home and the trauma she feels when she drives past it.

“Everything is going so well for me”, Katie said, adding: “Moving house, being in this house, it’s the best thing I ever did was move from that house. When I drive past my old house, I get a knot in my stomach, my anxiety, my brain is like a flip chart of all different memories.

” It’s just a trigger for me that, even when I have to drive past that house. I can’t avoid it sometimes from the areas that I go to. “Katie continued:” But it’s weird how a house can torment you mentally, memories, it’s weird. “Having been declared bankrupt for the second time last year, Katie’s Mucky Mansion was sold in December for just £1.5 million in order to pay off her debts.

Last year, before she left Mucky Mansion, sources told that Katie was excited to turn her back on Mucky Mansion. They told The Sun:” Katie has been dreading this day for so long but now it is here, she can’t wait to leave. The house has caused her so much grief and was too much to handle on her own. With work and the kids it all became too much in recent years. And she’s convinced it’s haunted. “

Meanwhile, Katie said:” I absolutely hate the Mucky Mansion, even how it’s been called the Mucky Mansion because of all the stuff that happened there before. I can’t wait to get out of that house I’ve had nothing but bad memories in that house for nine years. I hate the Mucky Mansion, I never want to see it again. New beginnings, new start, reset button, I love it. “

Katie sold Mucky Mansion for £1.15 million, a fraction of the cost it was originally listed for at a whooping £1.35 million. However, Katie didn’t receive a single penny from the sale as she hadn’t owned it at the time. The property which sits on 12 acres of land was Katie’s home for several years.

After she vacated the home, the property was left in a severely neglected state. The grounds became overgrown, the swimming pool water turned green, and cleaners had to clear piles of rubbish and remove abandoned vehicles before it could be listed for sale. Reports claim that over 20 tonnes of waste needed to be cleared to make the property market-ready.
