Reality TV star Katie Price is reportedly “upset” by hurtful online accusations that her boyfriend, MAFS UK star JJ Slater, is really her.
Katie Price and her younger boyfriend JJ Slater raised eyebrows when they started dating last year, and they’ve since been plagued by split rumours. Last week, the couple appeared to bury any traces of each other on social media, and many fans were quick to accuse them of “faking” their relationship.
The pair announced their romance in 2024 and from the outside at least, the pair seem to have enjoyed a drama-free courtship. However, the rumour mill went into overdrive last week when they both appeared to reshuffle their Instagram pages and bury the relationship on their respective feeds.

Fans have called their relationship “publicity driven”, with comments like “What a sham” and “I think it’s a fake relationship” written on some of Katie’s most recent Facebook snaps of her and JJ. The rumours and comments are deeply hurtful to the mum of five, our source claims, and have even left her in tears.
The rumors that Katie’s relationship is a “sham” are really hurtful, according to them, and Katie has shed tears over it. She wants a fairytale romance because she loves JJ and believes he is unique from her other ex. She has endured a lot of trauma throughout her life and still does so today.
The former glamour model, who turns 47 on May 22, also recently shared intimate details about her mental health andpast toxic relationships, and heartbreakingly revealed that while Married At First Sight star JJ has some amazing boyfriend qualities, she still doesn’t feel free or at her “most happiest”.
Speaking about JJ, 31, Katie said: “He’s the most kindest, genuine, easygoing, chilled person. But do I feel my most happiest and do I feel free? No. It’s not a reflection on him, maybe that’s what I need to change for myself.”
According to our source, Katie’s admission that she still feels “happy” is telling, and while her connection to JJ is genuine, she struggles to truly accept it. Katie used to have a drama-filled relationship, but she really finds it difficult to be both calm and content with a partner, they told us.
On Paul Brunson’s We Need to Talk podcast, Katie also acknowledged that she still needed to unpack some very painful things, such as “Being strangled, spat on, holes, being punched in the wall, name calling, etc..”
Another hot topic was her relationship with Peter Andre, 52, which started after their stint on I’m A Celebrity in 2004. Discussing the breakdown of their four-year marriage, which came after the births of their children Junior and Princess Andre, Katie reiterated her claims that she didn’t want the relationship to end, and it was Peter’s suspicions about her cheating that drove them to split.
“Well f*****g divorce me,” I said at this point. And I can recall that day because I and the kids flew to the Maldives that day. It was all on Sky News, and it wasn’t at all mutual when I was at the airport that day. I then changed my statement to read, “I don’t want to split with Pete; Pete is splitting with me.”
She also made the surprising confession that she and Peter, who went on to marry Emily MacDonagh in 2015, have never talked about what happened. The source maintains Katie’s relationship with the Mysterious Girl singer still weighs heavily on her and could be part of the reason why she’s not feeling her happiest, or ‘free’, with JJ.
“Katie doesn’t feel she’s had closure with Pete, and that’s hard because they have two children together, so they’re tied together forever,” they claim. “When they split up, it wasn’t what Katie wanted, and that’s been hard for her to handle. Hopefully, she’ll keep working on herself, which she’s doing, and get her fairytale.”
