After receiving criticism from her own sister and mother, Katie Price apologized for her criticism of Myleene Klass’ MBE. She later acknowledged that she had no idea what the award was intended to serve.

Katie Price has publicly apologised to Myleene Klass after launching a bitter tirade about the presenter’s MBE — only to later admit she had misunderstood the reason behind the award.

The reality star, 47, had taken aim at Myleene during her recent UK tour with close friend Kerry Katona, branding her a “clone” and questioning why she had been recognised by the King.

The accusations were made after Katie learned that Myleene had received an MBE earlier this year, but that she incorrectly assumed it was for “playing the classical piano” during her live performance.

However, in the latest episode of The Katie Price Show podcast, she acknowledged that she had spoken out without knowing the full story. Katie’s sister Sophie confronted her directly, noting that both she and their mother had “told her off” for the remarks.

Katie repeated the remarks she had made on tour, saying, “Right, on my show I just done with Kerry, there was a quote, and it wasn’t aimed at Myleene, an old quote of mine,”I’ve never been given one when I do a lot for charity and stuff. “

“And I said people like Myleene Klass, what is she known for? Playing the classical piano, because I don’t read about Myleene, and I’ve met Myleene and I’ve always liked Myleene. I think I did Loose Women with her sometimes, and it wasn’t a direct dig at her.”

She continued, explaining that her “clone” comment was made in response to the number of TV stars who work together as a management team rather than Myleene.

“What I’m saying is people like Myleene Klass have the same management as most of the TV people out there…I call them all the clones…they’re all under the same umbrella,” she said.

Then, Price admitted that she had no idea that Katie’s own heartfelt concern for miscarriage care and women’s health was the subject of her MBE.

She continued, “Now I never apologize unless I’m in the wrong.” I had no idea how she ended up in this life, but now I know why. I give her my apologies and praise for her actions in preventing miscarriages.

“I sincerely apologize to Myleene because it benefits her.” Please excuse me, as it will teach me to ignore it.

The Mirror has contacted Myleene Klass’s publicity team for comment. Katie’s apology comes just days after she repeated similar criticisms in Closer magazine, where she said: “I’m not against this for her, but why the f**k has Myleene Klass got an MBE? For playing the classical piano? This industry is so corrupt. They have the same managers, they’re all clones…”

Price’s remarks come after a few turbulent years in her own life. She recently revealed that her health struggles and a breakdown in 2021 left her feeling “sad and lonely,” prompting her to cut ties with people she no longer trusted.
