When she and her young daughter unannounced the Princess of Wales, who had a very relatable question, shocked regulars in a South London pub.
As every parent knows, you have to be prepared for any unexpected situation when you’re travelling with young children. This rule still stands for royalty, as the Princess of Wales knows all too well.
When Princess Charlotte was just three years old, she reportedly sprung a very relatable scenario onto her mother, forcing their royal convoy to make a dramatic stop at a pub in South London.
When the youngster apparently informed her mother, who was then known as the Duchess of Cambridge, that she needed to use the restroom, the pair apparently were driving a black Range Rover through the capital.

In 2018, they walked in hand-in-hand to ask if they could use the facilities outside The Phoenix pub in Stockwell while looking for the nearest bathroom.
A plain-clothes woman, thought to be a protection officer, entered the bar before Kate and Charlotte, now 10, and inquired if a young girl could use the restroom. Soon, the royal mother and daughter followed.
When the royals entered the pub, shocked patrons could not believe their eyes, and they were immediately taken aback by how normal the situation was.
Maggie McKinney, a regular at the pub, told MailOnline at the time: “I was sitting in my usual chair and when I looked up I saw Kate Middleton, I mean the Duchess of Cambridge and her daughter Princess Charlotte.
“The little kiddie just trotted in with her mum, went to the toilet and then trotted out. They could not have been in the pub for more than ten minutes. They seem very nice, totally normal. Princess Kate was holding her daughter’s hand. Princess Charlotte was just any other little girl.”
Kate has always prioritized her family, even when her royal duties fall short. Last week, she made a subtle but powerful statement about her priorities while visiting two textile factories.
She travelled to Suffolk and Kent to showcase the excellence of the British textile industry , using her outfit to send a touching tribute to her children and her husband, Prince William .
When she tried her hand at silk screen printing at Marina Mill in Kent, the Princess was snapped wearing a piece of personalised gold jewellery that read ‘GCL’: the initials of her three children George , Charlotte and Louis. The necklace stood out against Kate’s black top, as she proudly displayed where her priorities lie.
In addition to the sweet necklace, the Princess of Wales wore a grey suit from designer Bella Freud, which featured the Prince of Wales check, in another subtle nod to her husband, Prince William.
Many people believe that her husband and three young children will always be her top priority despite her royal responsibilities.
