Justin Bieber raised concerns today as he seemingly unfollowed his wife, Hailey Bieber, on social media.
The Sorry hitmaker, who found fame in the 00s after being scouted on YouTube, has sparked concerns for his welfare recently after seemingly distancing himself from loved ones. The Canadian star, who married his wife Hailey in 2018, appeared to unfollow his other half on Instagram earlier today.
When searching for Hailey’s account under Justin’s following list, it returned “no users found,” but Hailey, 28, was still following her husband. Justin, 30, has now taken to his stories to debunk speculation they may be splitting, writing: “Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife. S**t is getting suss out here. “
But, reports of uncertainty in their marriage have been doing the rounds for some time. Here, The Mirror takes a look at Justin’s difficult past few months, from the death of fellow singer Liam Payne to getting thrown into the mix amid P Diddy’s allegations…
Marriage fears
In recent months, Justin and Hailey have been surrounded by rumours that their marriage could soon be heading to the divorce courts. The couple welcomed their first child together in the summer, announcing the birth of their son on August 23, 2024.
But just last month, Hailey shared a social media post about “situations that you hate”. She simply wrote: “Me to all of you on the internet,” alongside a video from content creator eyegotthyme. In the clip, he said: “You’re not well and it’s OK. You’ve done made a lot of choices. The choices that you made done put you in situations that you hate. “
Meanwhile, Justin recently re-shared a video with the text, “Coparenting is failing, like tf,” which left one user asking: “So, are they currently co-parenting? Why is he posting this? “
Hailey has seen her relationship with pop star Justin become the centre of gossip many times before. “People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one,” she told W Magazine last year. “‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced. ‘ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy. “

Marijuana is legal in the state of Colorado. The images shared on his social media pages show the star smoking from it, as well as lighting the apparent bong in preparation.
Elsewhere, Justin also reshared a post reading: “When life is beating your ass and your guides say ‘Just keep going’ to his 294 million followers. He also shared a Martin Luther King quote, reading: “Hate can’t drive out hate, only love can do that. “
Unfollow spree
Justin has been having an unfollowing spree as he seemingly removed Usher, his former manager Scooter Braun, father-in-law Stephen Baldwin and best man Ryan Good on Instagram. His choice to hit the unfollow button on Usher came after speculation about their relationship. Usher played a key role in Justin’s rise to fame, with their bond beginning when Justin was just 15.
Usher helped him land his first major break, as seen in the music video for Justin’s debut song, One Time. The two shared a close mentor-mentee relationship, with Usher even helping to discover Justin’s talent and introducing him to industry insiders. In a 2011 interview, Usher revealed how Justin auditioned in front of him, his wife at the time, Tameka Foster, and record producer L. A. Reid’s ex-wife, Perri ‘Pebbles’ Reid, who insisted that Usher meet the young talent after seeing a video of him singing.
However, despite their close friendship, Justin’s early career was tumultuous, with rumours that he was “thrown to the wolves” as he partied with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs during his teen years. The pair’s friendship raised concerns among fans after Combs was arrested in September 2024 on charges related to sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution.
P Diddy arrest
Resurfaced videos between Justin and Diddy fuelled further concerns last year. One clip features the pair hugging, however, fans have claimed that they think Justin was being checked for a wire. The clip, which is thought to have been filmed back in 2021, sees Combs patting Justin on the back and chest several times.
Justin and Hailey have stayed quiet on all things P Diddy. A source told US Weekly that Justin was “advised to stay as far away as possible from anything and everything related to Diddy”. They added Justin wants “nothing to do” with Diddy, and claimed he is “in a hard place mentally”, adding that he was “completely disgusted” by the claims.
Family divide
Hailey is said to be keeping her and Justin Bieber’s baby son, Jack, away from her parents, Stephen and Kennya Baldwin.

The source told MailOnline: “Hailey had a blowout with her family when her dad asked for prayers for Hailey and Justin, and she told him that she did not want him meddling in her life. ” The insider claimed Stephen told his daughter that she wouldn’t have even known the singer it it “wasn’t for him making the introduction”.

Liam Payne’s death
After Liam Payne tragically died following a fatal fall in Argentina in October, his long-time friend Justin was devastated. The pair had initially been rivals, but later formed a friendship over their shared struggles of childhood fame. Years after being told he “could be as big as Bieber one day” when auditioning on The X Factor, Liam shared his side of the story on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast.
The star revealed he had been drunk on Instagram one evening when someone name-dropped Justin, to which he responded by saying “the only thing between me and him is I haven’t been arrested” – referring to the time Bieber was arrested for drink-driving. Liam, who would occasionally bump into Bieber at awards ceremonies, went on to say that he had never intended to offend the singer but that it “started some beef. “
As he raised their similarities, Liam went on to share an emotional few words: “I’ve always felt for you”. He explained: “Number one, I’ve done all the things that you’ve done and I’ve never been caught for any of them… number two, I’ve always really felt for you, mate, and I think in our situation we all suffer from the same disease. “
