In a touching tribute, Jesy Nelson used one of her twins’ names, “Jade,” while some might think it’s a nod to her former bandmate, but the Mirror can reveal this isn’t the case.
Jesy Nelson’s baby names have been planned for some time and include a tribute to her family, as opposed to any link to Little Mix.
Jesy and her partner, Zion Foster, have announced that she gave birth on Thursday to twins they have named Ocean Jade and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. Many fans have jumped on the use of the name Jade and presumed it is a tribute to former Little Mix bandmate Jade Thirwell.
But it’s much more accurate. According to a source close to Jesy, the names chosen were made as they waited for the twins to become bigger before giving birth.
Because Jesy and her sister are very close, “Jade was always going to be my middle name.” It is more of a nod to her sister than anything else.
Jesy and Zion are still in the hospital with the twins, according to the source, who said they might stay there for a few days. They continued, “They will definitely be in hospital for a little while longer, but they are just enjoying their babies.” The twins are safe and sound, and Jesy and Zion are so thrilled to be here.
It is common for babies born prematurely to be kept in for a short period after birth and these twins had a tough start in life. Jesy and Zion have been living in a London hospital for the last two months and doctors planned to induce the births after 32 weeks. In the end, the babies were born after 31 weeks and five days, as Jesy explained in her announcement on Instagram.
She stated, “Our stunning baby girls decided to arrive at 31 weeks and 5 days. We are so fortunate to have them here with us, healthy, and fighting strong because it all happened so quickly! Never have we experienced love like this.

Twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, a rare condition that could have claimed the lives of one or both twins, was treated in emergency surgery in April by former Little Mix star Jesy. Additionally, Jesy revealed that her twins had a single placenta and were monochorionic diamniotic (MCDA).
Although the operation was successful, Jesy and Zion continued to be hospitalized until the babies were born. Zion claimed in an interview last month that he and Jesy were closer because of their early pregnancy.
He stated, “Practically speaking, we’ve grown to know each other more deeply. And I believe we are fully aware of our shared concern for one another.
When you truly, truly understand what love you have and what your relationship means, I believe that is when you do. And I believe Jess and I just learned that we are genuinely made for each other because of this.
