Zions Foster describes how they have spent the past six weeks living in a hospital with their pregnant girlfriend Jesy Nelson.
Fighting for life before they are even born, singer Jesy Nelson’s twins have already made their parents proud. Their dad admits he feared they might not make it – and says he is dreaming of the day when they are old enough to learn about what they went through together.
Former Little Mix star Jesy had emergency surgery this month after the babies developed twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome – a rare condition which could have been fatal for one or both twins.
The operation was a success but Jesy and her partner, Zion Foster, have lived in hospital for six weeks and will stay there until the babies are born. Jesy and the twins have accomplished a lot. We doubted that we would get to where we are now because of how many times during this pregnancy.
The rapper is running the London Marathon on Sunday to raise money for the Twins Trust, which offers support to families with twins. Dedicating his efforts to his unborn babies, he added: “Their strength has been unmatched. We literally feel like we know them already just because of how much they’ve overcome.
They have such strong characters. They are very brave, he claimed. They will undoubtedly enjoy this. They are, in my opinion, the most crucial factor. I want them to look back and know that we are extremely proud of them for what they’ve accomplished.
According to Zion, a 26-year-old woman who described the twins’ condition, “essentially, there is not an equal share of the twins’ blood flow and nutrients in the body.” Thus, one twin will either end up receiving too much or too little.

Jesy, 33, made the announcement of her pregnancy in January, and she is now seven months along. The longer the twins stay in, the better, according to Zion, who has stated that she would like her to live to 32 weeks before giving birth. Zion has even set up a mini-gym for strength training and occasionally goes for a run while Jesy rests, where he spends the majority of his time. After signing up for the marathon less than two months ago, he is not setting a specific time.
Jesy is unable to leave the hospital, but Zion has promised to FaceTime her as she approaches the finish line and with friends who will support him and take photos and videos with Jesy along the way. “The babies are obviously coming very soon,” it’s clear. So she says, “Make sure you’re in good shape so that you can begin taking good care of them as soon as they come out.”
Since talking about the struggles of the twins, the couple has received thousands of messages of support from the general public. According to Zion, Jesy enjoys them as a regular reader. The level of support has been truly incredible, he said. It has been truly amazing.
“And I think just massive, massive, massive credit to Jesy, because it’s very difficult to actually share that when things like this happen.”
Jess, however, had the guts to say, “You know what?” This is the story I want to tell. I want people to enter. It’s not just about sharing the good times, I want people to know. The reality must be known to everyone. And just to see how well people responded, how many messages started coming in every day, and how many people still supported them.
People were saying, “Oh, is everything okay? ” even after the operation while Jess was recovering and we didn’t say anything for a while. I don’t know if the word “motivational” is used, but it just seems so touching and really keeps us moving. It improves our mental framework and allows us to continue on a daily basis, feeling supported and loved.
