Jade Goody, a famous reality television personality who bravely battled cervical cancer and passed away in 2009 at the age of 27, made sure that her two sons’ financial protection was assured.
Jade Goody worked tirelessly until her passing to protect her sons’ financial security. Bobby and Freddy, her sons, were just five and four when Jade passed away, aged just 27 after being diagnosed with cervical cancer seven months later. However, Jade was determined to give them a life unlike her previous ones.
Her mother Jackiey was a drug addict when she was a child, and her father, Andrew, was also a drug addict and allegedly a pimp. Jade was born and raised in the East London Borough of Bermondsey. Even in her final months, Jade made an effort to ensure that her two sons would never be able to live the life they had raised.
It was her appearance on Big Brother where Jade made a name for herself and became one of the nation’s first reality stars, and was instantly catapulted to fame. Through this, she found herself landing lavish brand deals, launching her own products, and later appearing on Celebrity Big Brother.
When she died on March 22, 2009, Jade left a staggering £3million behind for her two boys in a trust and shared her wishes that their dad, This Morning presenter Jeff Brazier, used some of the cash to pay for their sons to be privately educated. But, Jade’s widower, Jack Tweed, later claimed that Bobby and Freddy didn’t get the full benefits, despite her continuing to work throughout treatment.
In 2014, Jeff made a public comment about Jade’s desire to continue working while being treated. Jade signed a remarkable $ 700,000 deal with OK ahead of her 2009 wedding to Jack. The magazine that owned all of their wedding photos and images from the big day.
She determined the cost of sending the boys through private education until they were 16 as the first thing she did. However, Jeff later explained that her own Essex-based beauty salon had caused more tax issues. He responded, “I am aware that everything is a mess.” Jade’s problem was that she wasn’t good at taking advice, which I only know now.
“It would go in one ear and out the other if you tried to tell her something.” Although she desired that both Bobby and Freddy receive private education, only Bobby attended Bishop’s Stortford College, which was said to have been more appropriate for his ADHD needs.
In a 2019 interview with The Sun, Jack said, “If she had known, Jade would have broken.” She would be devastated. The person is dead, and I have never been able to understand that. Later, Jack claimed that he should have paid more attention to her estate estate beneficiary.
In order to avoid inheritance tax, he was able to transfer funds to the trusts Jade had established by acting as a “conduit” for Bobby and Freddy’s will. In an effort to help pay for Bobby and Freddy’s education, he later claimed that he had given the trustees a portion of the proceeds from their wedding.
However, Jack was left devastated after the taxman had taken a sizable sum of money. He stated, “I don’t want to accuse anyone because something just doesn’t seem to go my way. There is no way around it. I probably should have been more involved in the money issue, keeping an eye on where everything went and making sure no one wasted it on me. But at the time, it didn’t feel appropriate for me to participate in that.
Despite Jack’s assertions about the funds, Jade’s mother claimed in 2019 that a sizable sum had still been left over for her son’s education. In a trust, there is money for the boys. Before revealing that Freddy “loved” his state school, she said, “Bobby’s private education is still funded by Jade’s money.”
After Jade’s death, Jack claimed that she had tried to split the money they’d earned from their wedding photo shoot and that he had not “take a penny” from her. He claimed that he had only inherited Jade’s car, which was valued at £16, 000. Jade claimed that Jade wanted to make sure he was “alright” because he was young, but he objected.
Freddy, Jade’s youngest son, will now be a first-time father, which would have made her the first grandmother. Freddy is said to have had a strained relationship with Jeff in recent years, but the TV star is fully supportive of his son as he enters a new chapter in his life.
