The 37-year-old David Platt actor and his wife of 36 years, Hanni, are getting ready to exchange vows in Manchester later this afternoon, just one year after the Celebrity Big Brother winner proposed while on an African safari in Tanzania.
Before the wedding, the bride checks into a posh hotel.
The Corrie star’s fiancée updated fans on her Instagram story as the countdown begins to watch Jack and Hanni begin their engagement session.
A bathroom was visible in the background of the three matching suitcases she had spotted stumbling inside a stunning wood-paneled hotel room.
The bride has checked in, according to Hanni, who wrote in writing, followed by a white heart emoji as she shared the update with fans.
Hanni’s “non-hen do” celebration
The Corrie star’s fiancee insisted that her wedding celebrations with friends were “not a hen party,” as she posted pictures of the occasion.
In the photos, Hanni poses in a figure-hugging, long-sleeved, white lace dress clutched by a stunning rectangle pearlescent clutch bag with the words “Wifey For Lifey” engraved in glittery gold.
In more recent images, friends of Hanni and her boyfriend Jack pose for photos while wearing masks of their faces and drinking from a starw with the word “bride” on them. The bride wrote, “The non-hen party party, two weeks before the wedding,” in response to her followers.
Colson Smith and Jack’s stag do battle.
The couple made the decision to defy the custom of traditional stag and hen parties. Jack made the declaration that he doesn’t want a stag do in January of this year.
He previously stated, “No, I don’t like going on a stag do where someone just takes the p*** out of you all weekend, you’re the butt of every joke, and you have to dress like a f***ing baby.”
Later, he later got into a fight with Colson Smith, who recently left Coronation Street after playing Craig Tinker.
Colson revealed that he had been thinking about having a party for Jack during an interview on their podcast On the Sofa. He said, “There is something I need to discuss with you about this subject, but I’m not sure when to do it.”
The Craig Tinker star continued, “You’re very, very against it, but now is the right time.” However, I just need to let you know that it’s happening and that there are only four of us, all of whom are five, when we add up to five, so we have to let you know that you are having a stag do.
Jack’s romantic proposal to Hanni
The couple made the announcement in June of last year through an Instagram romantic post that made it known that they were engaged while on vacation in Zanzibar. The couple announced the news by sharing two love-up selfies, one of which shows Jack and Hanni kissing each other and the other of which shows them smiling as they approach the camera.
A single oval stone on a thin gold band completes Hanni’s stunning ring, which is visible in full view.
Hanni shared their exciting news in the post’s caption. She gushed in the caption:” 05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!! “Followed by a ring emoji, heart emoji, Zanzibar flag emoji, elephant emoji, tent emoji, and, finally, the sun emoji.”
