Jack Osbourne has opened up about being called up to do I’m a Celebrity just days ago after a celebrity pulled out at the eleventh hour
Jack Osbourne only learned he was heading to Australia ten days ago, calling himself a “last-ditch effort” after someone else seemingly dropped out of I’m a Celebrity.
“I only knew I was coming out here like 10 days ago. So it was literally 10 days,” he says.
He’s spent the final days loading up on comfort food, saying: “I stocked up on some chocolate digestives and some Pot Noodles… I’m going to live the high life.”
Osbourne also hinted he may steer clear of discussing some family matters including dad Ozzy around the campfire The TV star, 39, admitted he expects some personal topics to come up as the cast bond, but made clear there are limits on what he is prepared to share on national television.
Asked whether he will open up during the late-night chats the show is known for, Jack said: “I mean, it’s hard not to. I mean, I’ve done my fair share of projects with people in situations like this, like Adrenaline Junkie or things like that. I think it’s just a natural part of bonding with people.
“And I think this show would fall under the trauma bonding kind of category. I think things will naturally come up and I’m not necessarily going to stray away from too many things.
“But obviously there are certain things that I probably won’t discuss on a nationally televised TV show that’s filmed 24/7.” This could include singer dad Ozzy who died on 22 July at the age of 76.
The trials, however, are something he’s oddly looking forward to after friends warned him how boring camp life becomes. “Everything I know from the show…friends that have done it have all said, their experience was they were excited to do the trials because they were so damn bored during the day.”
He joked he could struggle if the drinking challenges turn disgusting. “I puke pretty easily. So, you know, if I have to like, you know, drink a blended kangaroo anus, it might come back up pretty quick.”
