I’m fussy about my mascara, like many other makeup artists. I want it all, but I don’t think many people live up to the challenge, with no clumping or smudging throughout the day.
Gucci’s Mascara L’Obscur is one of my all-time favorites and one that I keep buying over and over again. My lashes just look amazing and, in my opinion, the formula just looks the best with a barrel-shaped silicone brush. They even seem to get better with more time left open.
However, it’s one of the priciest mascaras available for less than £31; however, I believe I’ve found a great alternative for less money.

I’ll admit that I wasn’t initially particularly enthralled by the L’Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Panorama Mascara when it first launched last year. Yes, but nothing that would force me to switch from my current favorite. To prevent having to take my expensive mascara, I took it away for a few short trips and quickly developed a love for it.
This mascara keeps your eyes smudge-proof all day while also providing a multi-size silicone brush that covers every lash and a flexible formula that really extends them up and out.
It provided excellent volume and length, covered every millimeter of every lash, and held the hairs securely in place all day without flaking or smudging.

Kendall Jenner, an ambassador for L’Oréal, says in a Vogue Beauty Secret YouTube video, “This is one of my favorites… I’m obsessed,” revealing eyelashes that are clearly longer and more defined. She also attended the Vanity Fair Oscars party this year.
Although L’Oréal’s Panorama Mascara typically retails for £19.99, I’ve found that Amazon currently has it for just £8.70 (the brown version is even less affordable at £7.05). You can also find it at LookFantastic, where it costs £12.99 if it ever runs out of stock on Amazon.
