Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claims negotiations with Hamas will only continue “under fire,” encouraged by US President Donald Trump’s backing.

Itamar Ben-Gvir was appointed as Israel’s national security minister after the country resumed its bombardment of Gaza, which is likely to strengthen Netanyahu’s coalition government.
