Craig Young and Curtis Campher both received a double injury blow before their one-day international series against the West Indies this week.
Curtis Campher, 26, and Bowler Young, 35, both suffered hamstring injuries while playing for the North West Warriors last week against the Leinster Lightning, and Campher, 26, both suffered a finger fracture while batting in the nets on Monday.
Mark Adair, Graham Hume, and Fionn Hand were already injured, so Ireland’s seam attack for the three white-ball games in Dublin had already had an impact.
The squad has named replacements for Stephen Doheny and Jordan Neill, both of whom are 19 years old.
On Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, Ireland will host the West Indies in Clontarf.
