Andoni Iraola says he has “trust” in the club as they try to add players this month and that Bournemouth will have to adapt after Evanilson and Enes Unal’s injuries have caused them to lose both.

The Cherries are currently seventh in the Premier League, just three points clear of the top four.

Unal is out for the season after torn his anterior cruciate ligament, while Evanilson has had surgery to repair his foot’s metatarsal.

Daniel Jebbison has been recalled from a loan spell with Championship side Watford, according to Iraola, while the Cherries have indicated that the club will examine options in the transfer market.

Now, Iraola said, “We will have to adapt a little bit and see who is available in that position and fit better with what we are going to demand.”

“I have faith in the club, and I know that they are working, especially given the injuries in that position,” he said. “I hope, as they have done many times, they will make the right decision.”

Evan Ferguson, Brighton’s striker, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have both been linked with moves to Bournemouth.

Iraola continued, “We are a great opportunity for a number nine who wants an important role in the Premier League, but it’s always challenging in the winter.”
