Inside Lorraine Kelly’s idyllic riverside home with amazing hidden room
In tens of thousands of homes across the nation, her sappy Scottish tones are a well-known sound. Lorraine Kelly can be found inside a home she has made her own when she isn’t lounging on the breakfast TV sofa.
Since selling their £845, 000 home in Dundee in 2017, when their daughter Rosie moved out, the presenter and their husband, Steve, have resided together in a spacious riverside home in a remote Buckinghamshire town.
However, once the cameras stop rolling, she still posts pictures of their abode on social media, even though it’s her private residence.
They include pictures of her spacious kitchen, orangery-style conservatory, sprawling garden next to a picturesque river and even a cosy room hidden away in a wooden cabin.
The TV star, who also has a wine fridge, ice bucket, and everything she needs to make cocktails, was captured in a photo that showed her enjoying a glass of wine in a mini-bar area in the corner of her kitchen.
Another, capturing her beloved terrier Angus on her bed, reveals a safari-themed bedroom with giraffe cushions, tropical print wallpaper, and a zebra ornament on her bedside table.
The couple’s TV room has high ceilings and wooden beams and panels in one image. With its numerous bookcases and large, corduroy sofa, Lorraine has shared videos to promote her newest book, The Island Swimmer, in a different room than the living room.
The presenter’s conservatory appears to be her favorite room, based on the number of pictures it has taken. Natural daylight is flooded into the space through glass windows and doors. A wooden decking area and a greenery-covered patio are both accessible from the room.
The guest house, a sky-blue-painted cabin where friends and family can stay with lots of personal touches to make guests feel at home, is perhaps the most unexpected feature of the house. Lorraine has herself commented on the cabin, saying, “It looks so cute in here”.
