Lando Norris criticizes the creators of the Netflix series Drive to Survive about Formula 1 and claims he is “not a fan of the fake stuff.”

The British driver highlighted the rivalry between him and Max Verstappen in their seventh season of the show, which just came out.

Red Bull’s Verstappen was depicted as upset when McLaren’s Norris claimed his first victory in Miami in the second episode, but the footage was later in the season.

Norris, who took the pole position in Australia during the campaign’s opening race of 2025, said, “They need to show the truth about people more.”

“I don’t like fake stuff,” I say. I want information. I don’t want fake nonsense and made-up scripts, which are both acceptable.

They don’t need to create that drama; they just need to show the facts because of how much Max and we were antagonistic.

“I don’t believe that’s accurate, and it is almost lying in some ways.” They just mix it all up until the next time they put it in.

Perhaps it should be more of a season-long documentary than just a show, as they’re trying to do. It has snagged too far away.

Verstappen, a Dutch driver, was eventually given the title and addressed in the Netflix episode.

He said, “Apparently, I was very depressed after Miami.” I don’t know what caused me to be upset because I literally had the best time on Sunday night.

The production company behind Drive to Survive, Box To Box Films, defended the claims that the stories they shared were not “fabricated,” and that the “storylines clearly follow actual events.”

They continued, “The series is produced under incredible schedule pressure, and mistakes do occur.

We make corrections for these unintentional errors when they are pointed out to us, as was the case this year with some footage of Max post-Miami GP.

“Drive to Survive has been a very significant part of expanding the sport and reaching new audiences,” according to an F1 spokesperson.
