Get Me Out of Here Because I’m A Celebrity! Former campmate of Vogue Williams cautioned her against ever letting go of her fears after being covered in snakes.
A former I’m A Celebrity contestant has delivered a chilling warning to Vogue Williams after one particular fear left her requiring therapy.
Ashley Roberts, an ex-Pussycat Dolls member, intentionally kept her crippling snake phobia from ITV bosses when she appeared on the program in 2012, though.
She later admitted that she needed hypnotherapy to deal with her severe fear.
Vogue, a former model and host of the podcast, used a completely different approach.
She sent voice messages to her Heart Radio colleagues revealing her massive snake phobia, whilst also discussing it during her entrance interview, reports the Irish Mirror.
The mother-of-three was inevitably sucked into by Ashley, 44, and I’m A Celeb producers promptly covered her in serpents during a Bushtucker Trial.
Chatting on Heart Radio alongside co-hosts Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston about jungle fears, Ashley recalled: “Before Vogue Williams went in, she sent us a voice note of what her biggest fear was. She then said the same in her first episode.”
Vogue, a native of Dublin, said in the video, “I really don’t want a snake in my knickers.” Is that a reasonable assumption? For my children’s sake, I’m doing it. They’ll enjoy watching me get tangled up with snakes.
Amanda continued, “You don’t fess up what you’re scared of; that’s the worst thing you can do.”
Ashley, drawing on her experience finishing as runner-up behind former EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks, completely agreed. She said: “Exactly. I was so scared of snakes I actually got hypnotherapy for me, didn’t tell a single soul. I did not, and when I had a bet or something it was rats and not snakes. ‘Yes, I’ve won.’
“Such a big snake phobia is now known to her, so guess what she got in her challenge,” she said. She was apprehensive.
When Vogue and TV star Tom Read Wilson were smothered with serpents and trapped in cramped tents, Vogue, who is wed to Spencer Matthews’ reality TV personality, was horrified.
Host Declan Donnelly cheerfully announced: “You’ve got eight minutes left!”.
Vogue responds, “That’s great news,” while maintaining her composure. Thank you for letting me know.
When Ant nonchalantly reveals the shocking detail, “In each of your tents, there are 15 snakes. “Dec mutters:” Oh God… They didn’t need to know that, in my opinion.
She had told her colleagues on Heart Radio before entering the jungle that she was hoping to avoid running into too many snakes.
Jamie Theakston, however, revealed that speaking with contestants on the day of the show before getting to know them was his greatest fear.
He said, “I would be terrified. Everything else would be fine after that. That makes me absolutely terrified.
