When she unintentionally flashed her co-star Joel Dommett during a live ITV2 episode, Kemi Rodgers was left red-faced.
I’m A Celebrity spin-off presenter Kemi Rodgers was left red-faced after she accidentally flashed live on air. The 30-year-old broadcaster donned a black and white animal print skirt paired with a black top as she hosted the live ITV2 episode alongside Joel Dommett, 40, and guest Seann Walsh, 39.
The group were responding to a voice note recorded by a viewer, which asked the panel which luxury item they would choose to send into camp for the 2025 show line-up. Kemi, 30, was discussing how she uses an orthopaedic pillow between her knees when she sleeps, to better align her hips when she snoozes on her side.
Then, to demonstrate how to put the prop between her legs, she took a yellow cushion from the TV show sofa. She unintentionally flashed at Joel and said, “Sorry Joel, sorry. Not that kind of show, I suppose.
The comedian Seann then said, “It’s kicked off, it’s unpacking on unpacked.” Then Joel concluded, “I believe I might have a soft spot for Kemi.” Kemi had to cover her face with her hands before reversing it with a pillow after it seemed to mention him, leaving her with a pillow.
Joel chuckled as he said, “Basically, you’re bringing a pillow.” Then Seann joked, “Quickly, Joel, come to the ads,” and he placed a pillow on his lap.
It was revealed that Joel, a comedian, TV presenter, and ex-jungle campmate would make a comeback alongside co-host radio DJ Kemi ahead of the I’m A Celeb series this year.
Joel had a lot to say about the show, stating: “Our last Queen of the Jungle, Jill Scott, came out last year and she’s just so lovely and so funny and also an incredible athlete. It’s a mad thing, you forget that alongside this she’s also an incredible football player. I’m excited to hear what she thinks about the new campmates.”
Joel, who he’s known “for years and years,” couldn’t help but feel special about Seann. He has been my friend for many years. Seann and I had a competition at our fourth ever gig, and he made it to the semi-finals, which I’ll always remember. He therefore defeated me in a comedy contest, and rightfully so because he was more talented than I am. The hatchet has now been buried. Who will win will be the winner of the live stand-up comedy on Unpacked.
Unfortunately, Seann recently had to cancel a live performance just before his Unpacked appearance due to a mysterious illness.
Earlier this month, Joel told OK! Magazine, he’s bringing his wife, model Hannah Cooper, 36, and their two-year-old along for the ride in the jungle.
Wilde, the couple’s son, was born in September 2023, but Joel, who is the couple’s son, admits with a grin that his jungle adventures won’t let him get too excited. He is “very chill.” And I do realize how fortunate we are to have that. And I think they would be absolute nightmares if there were another,” he says.
After Joel came in second place on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Hannah’s romance with Joel started in 2016. Just one year later, Joel popped the question to the pair right away after the pair had a verbal exchange. In Mykonos, they tied the knot in a stunning beachfront ceremony in 2019. He admits that welcoming baby Wilde a few years later would make for the ideal next chapter.
Joel said, “I’m really excited to be back,” when referring to his return to the stage. I’m not sure how long ago it has been since I did the jungle on my own. It’s really, really nice to end those ten years and to be able to go back in time so long. It’s just so lovely to see it through the eyes of newcomers who enter and witness their enjoyment (as well as their enjoyment).
Joel competed in the 16th series, finishing third behind Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, who won the title. Joel admits that their show is much harder to create than how it appears on television, while also describing his Unpacked co-host Kemi Rogers as “so easy to work with.”
